Your Health: A Plan for Connected and Convenient Care

Today, the government is putting Ontarians back in charge of their health through the release of Your Health: A Plan for Connected and Convenient Care. This plan changes the status quo and focuses on providing people with a better, more convenient health care experience closer to home, while taking action to reduce wait times and grow the health care workforce across the province.

Our plan lays out a broad series of initiatives under three pillars: The Right Care in the Right Place, Faster Access to Care and Hiring More Health Care Workers. Designed to work together and work for people, these pillars will deliver connected and convenient care in hospital emergency rooms, in community settings like pharmacies and community organizations and doctors’ offices, in long-term care homes and through care delivered right at home.

As initiatives of this plan continue to be implemented, Ontarians will have even more ways to receive the high-quality care they know and deserve, ensuring fast, easy access to care at every stage of life.

The government recognizes that too many Ontarians are waiting too long to get an appointment or surgery, having to travel too far to get care and spending too much time trying to navigate our health care system.
