As we take time today to remember the tragedy of 9/11 and honour Ontario’s first responders who went to New York City to assist in the recovery efforts, it is more important than ever to recognize all the first responders who put themselves on the line every single day to keep our communities safe.
Protecting Ontario means ensuring the first responders who keep our communities safe have the equipment, protection and resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. Our government will always have the backs of our firefighters, police officers, paramedics and other public safety personnel by investing in the tools and supports they need, both on the job and beyond it. We’re investing in the modern equipment, training and resources they need to stay safe on the job, while strengthening the supports they can count on beyond the front lines.
