ServiceOntario Retail Partnership and Health Harmonization Project

The province of Ontario is making it easier and more convenient for families and businesses to access vital government services such as driver’s licences and health cards. Starting in February 2024, Service Ontario is opening new centres in select Staples stores across the province with an additional three locations opening throughout the year.

ServiceOntario is also expanding in-person health card services. Now, eight of the busiest ServiceOntario centres in the GTA offer health card services for work permit holders and their accompanying family, including:

  • New registration and renewals with an open or closed work permit for customers and their accompanying family members
  • Temporary foreign workers and their accompanying family members with maintained status (also known as implied status)
  • Change of work permit status to permanent resident
  • Registrations for customers arriving from Ukraine under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET)

These services have been expanded to:

  • 55 Ontario St. S., Unit C20, Milton
  • 4-125 Chrysler Dr., Brampton
  • 7A-257 Dundas St. E., Mississauga
  • 4800 Sheppard Ave. E., Unit 112, Scarborough
  • 1255 The Queensway, Unit 16B, Toronto
