Premier Ford, Minister Calandra, and Minister Surma are speaking at this year’s ROMA conference. Minister Thompson spoke yesterday.

Premier Ford Ford announced new details regarding the expansion of Ontario’s $1.2 billion Building Faster Fund (BFF) to small, rural and northern municipalities that have not been assigned housing targets by the province.

Minister Surma announced that municipalities will be able to apply for funding beginning next week through the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund to support municipal water projects that will help unlock housing opportunities and further protect communities.

In addition, Minister Thompson announced the start of consultations to help develop a new Rural Economic Development Strategy.
