Red Tape Awareness Week 2026

Today, Ontario earned national recognition from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), receiving the One to Watch award for our government’s in-house Regulatory Intelligence tool, REGi. This innovative tool, along with a suite of other modernization initiatives, is helping our government identify, track and reduce regulatory red tape more effectively than ever before. 

Thanks to hard work across government, Ontario has also achieved its first-ever A grade on CFIB’s Red Tape Report Card, reflecting the significant progress we are making to simplify life for the people of Ontario, saving taxpayers’ money and reducing costs for the businesses who drive our economy.
