Protecting Ontario’s Agriculture Workers

As President Trump’s tariffs threaten Ontario’s agri-food workers, our government is taking action to protect the workers, farmers and businesses who keep food on our tables.

Since 2018, we have attracted more than $5 billion in food and beverage manufacturing investments and created over 22,000 good-paying jobs across the province. We will continue to make Ontario the most competitive place for food businesses to invest, grow and create jobs, while building a more secure, sovereign and self-sufficient agri-food sector that protects workers and keeps more food grown and made right here at home.

Today, Ontario’s food and beverage manufacturing sector supports more than 126,000 jobs, while the broader agri-food sector contributes over $53 billion to Ontario’s economy every year.
