The government has announced the deployment of the first helicopter through Ontario’s Joint Air Support Unit in Peel Region, marking a major milestone in our government’s $191 million investment to strengthen front-line policing across Ontario. Equipped with advanced technology, the aircraft will help police crack down on auto theft, organized crime and dangerous driving by giving officers the tools they need to respond faster, coordinate more effectively and better protect Ontario communities.
