Ontario’s After School Program
The government remains focused on providing children and youth across Ontario with opportunities to be active and healthy. That’s why Minister Lumsden announced today that funding to Ontario’s After School Program will be increased by $1.1 million for the 2023-24 school year, bringing total funding support to $14.6 million. This increased investment will help to offset rising program delivery costs and inflation. It will also ensure that programs tailored to align with the needs of each community, such as academic support and arts and cultural activities, are available in high-priority neighbourhoods. Minister Lumsden is grateful to Parliamentary Assistant and MPP Laura Smith for her leadership on this important initiative.
