The government is supporting $61 million in new investments by 11 local health technologies companies through the Life Sciences Scale-Up Fund (LSSUF), as they expand production capacity and commercialize their Ontario-made health technologies in provincial and global markets.
With the first round of funding now fully deployed, the LSSUF program has already leveraged nearly $75 million in investments, supporting over 1,000 good-paying jobs across 14 projects.
To build on the momentum of the fund’s initial success, the 2026 Ontario Budget included a renewal of the LSSUF, with an additional $24 million dedicated to supporting Ontario companies whose work will accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies into the healthcare system and support the province’s broader vision to provide connected, convenient care closer to home. Applications for round two of the fund opened today and will be accepted until August 3, 2026.
