Ontario Supporting Indigenous Economic Development

The annual intake for funding applications has been announced under the government’s Indigenous Economic Development Fund (IEDF) and the Indigenous Community Capital Grants Program (ICCGP).

With a combined investment of $9.2 million, these two programs enhance economic opportunities for First Nation communities across the province by providing grants and financing for Indigenous businesses, communities, and organizations.

The IEDF provides $3.2 million for projects that create skills training and economic diversification opportunities, while the ICCGP provides $6 million for Indigenous community capital infrastructure projects.

Applications are open until November 14, 2024 at 5 p.m. (EST), and can be submitted through Transfer Payment Ontario.
