Ontario Protecting Ratepayers by Expanding Energy Savings Programs
November 19, 2025
The government has announced the next phase of Ontario’s Energy Savings Program, introducing new rebates for up to $200 off energy-efficient home appliances and enhanced incentives for industrial, municipal, institutional and health-care organizations.
With electricity demand projected to significantly increase over the next 25 years, Ontario’s plan will keep energy costs down as we build for the future. This expansion represents the largest investment in energy-efficiency programs in Canadian history and is part of Ontario’s 12-year, $10.9 billion Energy Efficiency Framework and Energy for Generations, the province’s first-ever integrated energy plan
