Ontario Government Supporting Non-Profit Organizations in Simcoe North

The Ontario government is providing 13 non-profit organizations in Simcoe North with over $1.2 million in funding this year through the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant stream to make it easier for local residents to access the critical programming, activities and spaces that make Simcoe North a great place to live, work and play.


“The government’s investment through the Ontario Trillium Foundation is making a significant impact in Simcoe North, supporting over a dozen organizations that are crucial to our community’s well-being,” said Jill Dunlop, MPP for Simcoe North. “These grants demonstrate our commitment to fostering growth, resilience, and a better quality of life for all our residents through supporting these integral organizations in our communities.”


OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure so they can continue delivering programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in Simcoe North.


Organizations receiving funding include the Coldwater Curling Club, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 270 Coldwater, Camp Couchiching, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orillia & District,
Orillia Museum of Art & History, the Orillia Rowing Club, Green Haven Shelter For Women,
The Lighthouse in Orillia, the Midland Curling Club, Beausoleil First Nation, Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre, the Penetanguishene Curling Club and the Child Advocacy Centre of Simcoe Muskoka.
These Capital grants are part of the more than $28 million supporting 291 local programs and services that help deliver critical community programming across province.
