Ontario Further Reducing Wait Times in Emergency Departments

The government is investing an additional $44 million in 165 high volume and smaller emergency departments across the province to reduce wait times and provide Ontarians with faster and easier access to timely emergency care close to home.

This funding is in addition to the $90 million Ontario invests each year to reward emergency departments that put in place creative and innovative solutions to reduce emergency department wait times and improve people’s experiences.
