Ontario Driving Rural and Northern Economic Growth through Skilled Immigration

The government has launched the Regional Economic Development Through Immigration (REDI) pilot program to target highly skilled immigration in four rural and northern communities through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). This program will run until December 31, 2025 in the communities of Lanark, Leeds & Grenville, Sarnia-Lambton and Thunder Bay, enabling local employers in to attract up to 800 additional workers for in-demand careers that drive local economic growth, such as healthcare, technology, and the skilled trades, including construction.
