Ontario Continues to Protect Health-Care Workforce

The government is expanding the Ontario Learn and Stay Grant (OLSG) to include additional nursing programs at Trent University and Fleming College, ensuring everyone in Eastern Ontario can access high-quality care, close to home.  Applications are now open for all eligible students across Ontario.

Backed by an investment of up to $14 million, we’re supporting up to 1,500 students by fully covering tuition, books, and other direct education costs for nursing students this fall if they commit to working in the region after graduation. This builds on the strong results already delivered through OLSG, which has supported nearly 13,000 students with $175 million in funding. 

By expanding access to OLSG, we are strengthening the health-care workforce and breaking down financial barriers, so more students get the world-class training that prepares them for meaningful, in-demand careers.
