Happy Ontario Agriculture Week! Please join us in celebrating Ontario Agriculture Week, October 6 to 12.

Ontario’s agriculture and food sector contributes more than $51 billion in GDP and accounts for 1 in 9 jobs in the province, with farming as the foundation for all those jobs.

Ontario’s 48,000 local farms produce more than 200 different foods, and Minister Jones hopes that each Caucus Member will find an opportunity to visit a farm, a farmers market or an agritourism business like a pick-your-own farm sometime this week. Share your pictures on social media using the hashtag #OntAgWeek and encourage your constituents to support local farmers by buying food grown and raised in Ontario.
