Applications are now open for the government’s new Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund: a $200-million program to help municipalities repair, rehabilitate, and expand critical water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.

This program will provide targeted funding for critical projects that will help unlock more housing opportunities, protect public health and safety, and lay the foundation for economic growth in local communities. Beginning today, municipalities will be able to submit their applications to nominate projects for funding under the Housing-Enabling Water Systems Fund.

All municipalities that own water, waste, and stormwater infrastructure will be eligible to submit one application. The deadline for applications will be Friday, April 19.
