Creating Jobs in the Life Sciences

Today, Premier Ford and Minister Fedeli joined Sanofi, a global biopharmaceutical company, to celebrate the official inauguration of their new, $925 million vaccine manufacturing facility in North York.

In the face of ongoing economic attacks by President Trump, our government is delivering on its plan to solidify Ontario’s position as a global leader in biomanufacturing and health sciences. Through our dedicated life sciences strategy, Taking Life Sciences to the Next Level, Ontario has attracted more than $6 billion in life sciences investments. Ontario’s life sciences sector is built on a foundation of cutting-edge research, advanced manufacturing and homegrown innovation, supported by a postsecondary system that produces one of the most highly sought-after workforces in the world.

We will continue to make Ontario the most competitive place to invest, create jobs and do business, ensuring the discoveries made here at home translate into good-paying jobs, made-in-Ontario products and long-term economic strength.
