Celebrating Ontario Made Manufacturing Day & Manufacturing Month
In Ontario, every October we celebrate Manufacturing Month. And today, October 4, is Ontario Made Manufacturing Day, a partnership between the government and the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) that puts a spotlight on our growing manufacturing sectors and the more than 800,000 people who work in in the industry.
Since 2018, our government has been hard at work rebuilding our manufacturing industry, attracting billions of dollars in investments, and creating thousands of jobs right across the province. In fact, in 2023, Ontario created more manufacturing jobs than all 50 U.S. states combined, and employment levels in the sector are at one of the highest levels in 15 years.
To show our gratitude for this important sector and its workers, we encourage you to visit a manufacturing facility in your community and share the following messages and social content throughout the month.
