2024-25 Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant Program Launch

Starting today, applications are now open for the 2024-2025 Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant program. Through the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism, our government is investing $12.75 million this year to help address the rise of hate incidents and keep communities across Ontario safe.

Faith-based and cultural organizations may be eligible to receive a one-time grant of up to $10,000 to cover safety and security measures implemented to help prevent and/or respond to hate motivated incidents. This includes building upgrades, enhancing locks, installing cameras, hiring short-term professional security personnel and more.

This is part of the government’s $25.5 million investment over two years in the Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant to help faith-based and cultural organizations ensure their community spaces remain safe and secure.

To support prospective and returning applicants to the program, the ministry is holding a virtual 1-hour public information session tomorrow, November 1, 2024, at 10:00AM EST.
