Ontario Moves to Final Phase of Reopening

With key public health and health system indicators continuing to improve or remain stable, Ontario is continuing to cautiously ease public health measures. This is very exciting news and is thanks to our high vaccination rates and the continued sacrifices of Ontarians.

As of March 1, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. capacity limits have been lifted in all indoor public settings, and proof of vaccination will no longer be required. Businesses and other settings may choose to continue to require proof of vaccination

Other protective measures, such as masking requirements, remain in place at this time. To manage COVID-19 over the long-term, public health units can deploy local and regional responses based on local context and conditions.

The COVID-19 vaccine is our best defense against  the virus and provides strong protection against serious illness. We continue to encourage all eligible Ontarians to get vaccinated, whether it’s a first, second, or booster dose.
